ACU Early Career Conference Grants 2026–2027

Grants of up to GBP 2,000 for early-career academics at Commonwealth universities to attend and present at international conferences.

Up to GBP 2,000 per grant to cover conference registration fees, international flights, accommodation, visa costs, and travel and health insurance. Seven grants available in this cycle.

• Up to GBP 2,000 covering conference registration, flights, accommodation, visa costs, and travel/health insurance
• Opportunity to present research and build international profile at a Commonwealth-based conference
• Access to the global ACU academic network

• Early career researcher or academic within 7 years of starting your academic career (career breaks are taken into account)
• Currently employed at an ACU member university
• Must chair a session, present a paper, or present a poster at the target conference
• The conference must take place in a Commonwealth country outside your current employment region
• Must not have previously travelled for work outside your employment region
• Previous ACU Early Career Conference Grant recipients are not eligible

3. 3Complete the online application form available through the ACU funding portal
4. 4Submit before October 13, 2026
